Waterproof level overview:
IPxx level
The international industrial standard waterproof grade IP is close to the JIS waterproof grade of the Japanese industrial standard, which is divided into 9 grades of 0-8. The IP grade also specifies the dustproof.
Dustproof and waterproof
The IP ×× level standard recommended by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is adopted as the protection level. Different installation sites have different levels. Please refer to the following instructions for details. In the level standard, "×" is two digits, the first digit indicates the protection level for solid and the second digit indicates the protection level for liquid. There are 7 levels of solid protection, represented by 0-6; 9 levels of liquid protection, represented by 0-8.
Waterproof grade
0: no protection
1: There is no effect when water drops into the shell
2: When the shell is tilted to 15 degrees, the water drop into the shell has no effect
3: No effect of water or rain from 60 degree corner to shell
4: The liquid splashed on the shell from any direction has no harm effect
5: No harm by washing with water
6: Can be used in cabin environment
7: It can withstand water immersion in a short time (1m)
8: Immersion for a long time under a certain pressure

Ipx-0 has no waterproof protection
Ipx-1 equipment can provide waterproof protection equivalent to 3-5mm / min rainfall for 10 minutes under normal operation.
Ipx-2 is basically the same as ipx-1, but it can pass the waterproof test of 15 degrees upwarping in all directions.
Ipx-360 degree splash water-proof protection provides 2-5 minutes of 10 L / s flow rate and 80-100n / M pressure water-proof protection.
Ipx-4 is basically the same as ipx-3, but it can provide all-round and angle splash water-proof protection.
Ipx-5 is waterproof in all directions and angles, providing 2-3 minutes of 12.5 L / s flow rate and 30 n / M pressure.

Ipx-7 can be immersed for 30 minutes in 1 meter under water.
