At present, many manufacturers choose phosphorus-copper shrapnel in order to save costs. The price performance of phosphorus-copper shrapnel is relatively high, which is also the reason why it is widely used. However, the phosphorus-copper shrapnel will change after the furnace temperature, and the shrinkage is serious, which will lead to bad hand feeling. The use of stainless steel shrapnel will not have this problem, but the cost of stainless steel shrapnel is relatively high, leading many manufacturers to take the risk of choosing phosphorus-copper shrapnel, so when purchasing lightly touch switch, we must ask the next question clearly.
Touch the switch lightly and do not turn on?
Many consumers, in the use of products, often find that the button pressed does not respond, to press very hard, the product has functional response. Because our switches are exposed to the air, many finished products are not sealed, consumer electronic products are required to heat. In wet weather, the shrapnel of the switch is easily oxidized, and the contact performance after oxidation is not as good as before, that is, there is a problem of light press and no conduction. Many consumers have also dismantled the switch and found that there will be a small black spot on the shrapnel, which is the effect of shrapnel oxidation. Therefore, it is suggested that the electronic products we do not normally use should be placed in a relatively dry place and the prepaid electronic parts should be oxidized.
High resistance of light touch switch?
At present, many customers don't know much about the resistance value of the switch. Generally, the resistance value of the switch is controlled below 30m Euro, so the contact performance and life of the switch are very good, but some switches have higher resistance value after furnace temperature and life test. What effect does high resistance have on switches? If the resistance is high, it means that the contact area between the shrapnel and PIN foot of the switch is too small. The contact area is too small to cause the switch to be contacted. Once the switch is not contacted, it will be bad. Therefore, we should be careful about the resistance of the switch, the shrapnel and PIN foot for plating requirements are relatively high, plating resistance will be low. After the life test, the surface of the shrapnel will be worn. If the electroplating is thin, the resistance will be high and the switch will be bad.
Bubble problem of light touch switch?
The main material of this switch is our LCP material. Every time our material supplier comes to the machine after injection, we will have a working procedure. This process is to dry our plastic material, which is also called quenching by the industry. So what is the main purpose of quenching? The purpose of quenching is to dry our plastic materials with moist moisture, using our plastic materials to achieve the drying effect. After quenching, we will proceed to our next step, that is, our injection molding process. Then we will assemble and inspect our products and pack them for shipment.
After so many processes, then why does our light touch switch have the abnormal phenomenon of foaming after the furnace is over? When the material is completely dried, our plastic material will have a certain moisture content in it and will be processed in the next process without high temperature operation.
